FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
(FAQ)
QUESTION: Can I plug different
voltage or milliamp chargers into Lil' Trickler at the same time?
ANSWER: YES. Lil' Trickler doesn't care
about the volts or amps of
the charger. These are determined by your chargers' output, or
technically speaking, the secondary side of the charger. Lil' Trickler
alters the current supplied to the input or primary side of the charger.
For example, you can plug your 1 1/2 volt glo-starter, your 12 volt
starter battery, and your 3 volt cordless screwdriver into ONE Lil'
Trickler, and keep your whole flightbox "Hot-to-Trot" at all times ! !
QUESTION: Can I run an extension
cord from Lil' Trickler to a charger on the other side of my shop?
ANSWER: SURE. Just keep in mind
that Lil' Trickler is rated at 20 watts. Don't try to exceed THREE
standard chargers.
QUESTION: What rate does Lil'
Trickler change my charger to?
ANSWER: Depending on your
charger, usually between C/20 to C/50. Normal charge rate is generally
C/10. Actually, we need not be concerned about all these difficult to
understand numbers. From a layman's viewpoint, we can rest assured that
whatever charger is plugged into Lil' Trickler is set at a safe trickle
rate for that particular charger.
QUESTION: If there are already
chargers in the "trickle mode", can I plug in another charger and move
the switch to "standard mode"?
ANSWER: Yes. It's OK to run
most batteries through another charge cycle occassionally, but use
common sense here. If this is going to become a habit, best use the wall
socket first, then move to Lil' Trickler.
QUESTION: Can Lil' Trickler be
used with NiMh battery packs?
ANSWER: YES. The type, volt, and
milliamp of the battery does not matter with Lil' Trickler.
